School Tours & day camp activities are dependent on the grade level and the focus chosen by the teacher/leader.  Teachers can choose the amount of time given to a guided tour/activity (usually 30-40 minutes for Division 1, and 45 mins-1 hr for Division 2), and the amount of free time in Sunshine Adventure Park. Each group takes a guided tour on the theme chosen. We recommend giving the students at least 1 hour for free time in Sunshine Adventure Park after the guided tour.

Scheduling

School tours are scheduled for 9:30 A.M., and 11:00 A.M, Tuesday – Friday. The guided tour portion of your time here will begin ON TIME. Please arrange for the students to have snacks and/or free time afterwards.

Group Sizes

We can accommodate a maximum of 3 groups of students at one time (2 groups on Mondays). If you are booking for more than one class, they will be separated into groups of about 18-24 students and rotated through activities, so that they are not all in the same place at the same time.

School Tour Rates

The 2018 group rate for Schools is $10.00 per child ($13 for the Pumpkin Discovery tour), based on a minimum of 16 children (or $160.00 per group). 1 Chaperone for every 5 children are free, all additional chaperones and siblings ages 1+ will be charged the group rate.

Lost & Found Items

The Sunshine Adventure Park has many items every day left behind by customers, and we collect them daily. If you have lost an item feel free to give us a call at 403-995-5509 and we will do our very best to locate the lost item for you. We also have a lost and found box that you are welcome to look through for your lost items. We here at Kayben Farms will do our very best to find your lost items but cannot guarantee the return of lost items.

Cancellation Policy

Most of the activities are outdoors and are best experienced in good weather. Please watch the weather forecast for a couple of days before your field trip date. If the forecast calls for poor weather, and you choose to cancel, we ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. If you cancel, your deposit will be held so you can re-book. If you do not contact us and choose not to come out, your deposit will not be refunded. The Pumpkin Discovery tour takes place in the greenhouse so it can be enjoyed in any type of weather, however, the free time is always more fun if the weather is dry!

Home school groups

Yes we welcome groups of home-schooled students! Tours can be adapted to suit a range of ages in students. However, it is recommended that the age range in each group not exceed 5 years in order to make the tour meaningful to all students. Siblings aged 1 and over will be included in the student count for billing purposes. All of the guidelines regarding group size, scheduling, tour themes and rates apply to home school groups.

“I always do the pumpkin experience with my grade 1 students.
The girls we had as hosts were awesome. Thank you for handling such a rowdy group so well.
The students always love Kayben farms.
See you next year!”

“Kayben Farms provided my Kindergarten students with hands on exploration of how plants grow.  The program is very child-centered and is engaging to all children and adults alike.  My students were so excited to be digging in the dirt and loved having the opportunity to sample fresh fruit and vegetables.  They also loved the play apparatus that was available to them after the tour.  For a fun filled day of learning, I would highly recommend Kayben Farms programs to all children and grade levels.”
