Consultation
A designer will meet with you at your property, to gather information about your vision for the yard, your needs, your approximate budget, and anything else they need to get a sense of the project scope. This meeting usually takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Based on the information gathered during this meeting, the designer will provide you with a design fee estimate at this consult.
Initial Phone Meeting
The design fee is paid upfront, after your consultation. due to receipt of the final design. Landscape design fees range from $200 for a basic project and can be $3,500 or more for large and complex designs. Designs that involve more than one visit, taking on-site measurements &survey shots, addressing unique challenges, developing detailed plant layouts etc., will typically need several days of design time.
Design Fee
The main purpose of this meeting is to gather
some additional information and find out how, when and with whom we will meet for the design consultation. We’ll need your Real Property Report before the consultation and will request some additional information you can gather in advance. This meeting is usually brief – less than 15 minutes.
Proposal Delivered
You receive an email with a first draft design and quote for your approval and/or input. There’s often some back and forth before you make a final decision on the design. Your initial design fee includes 2 revisions.
Estimation: Our estimator creates a quotation for you based on the final design. During our busiest times, this can take 7 – 14 days.
Proposal Review & Revisions
May be conducted via email, a phone call or an in-person meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to have your questions answered and ensure there is clarity regarding what is and is not included in the quote. The designer may have offered multiple proposed options. If we are close, and there are adjustments to be made, we will discuss alternatives and get a revised proposal to you. Once we have provided you with a design that you are happy with.
Contract & Deposit
1-2 weeks before the scheduled start of your project, your Foreman will have an on-site meeting to introduce themselves to you and prepare for the project. The purpose of this meeting is to clarify expectations and organize production details such as material selection, and access.
With your permission, we’ll also pop up signage, indicating that we are the contractor on site.
Pre-Construction Meeting
Now we are sending you a contract for
signing. This typically happens electronically unless you ask to meet in person. You return it to us, and we sign it and return a finalized copy to you. If you’re like most people, now you’re eager to be placed on the schedule so you can enjoy your new yard as soon as possible. You send us a 35% deposit, and just like that, you are on the list. Within about 1 week, you’ll be provided with a tentative start date.
Work on the Project Begins
Your project starts! Beauty takes time…………and sometimes creates a bit of disruption in the process. This is temporary and looks at the bright side; at least it’s not in your kitchen! We’ll try to cause as little stir as possible in your neighbourhood.
Change Orders
If you request any changes that will affect the cost of your project, you’ll be provided with a quote and will be asked to approve the change in writing. “Change orders” will be documented.
It’s done!
The project is done when you and the foreman have met together and agreed that we did everything we said we would and met your expectations. We will provide you with some information on how to maintain your investment. With the right care, your yard should provide you with many years of enjoyment. We all shake hands; you pay the balance and throw a party for your friends. We’ll also ask you to tell us how we did so we can keep getting better at what we do. Finally, we’ll ask you to post a review on your favourite platform.
Warrant Period
If any issues arise after the work has been completed, we will repair or replace as indicated in your warranty contract.
